Booking.com, the online travel agency that specializes in hotel rooms, will soon launch a cruise section, according to Reuters. It joins sister brand Priceline.com, along with Expedia in selling the highly popular vacation product. The cruise inventory and booking platform will be designed in partnership with World Travel Holdings, the parent company of Dream Vacations, Cruises.com, and VacationOutlet.com, among several other brands.
“The new offering meets traveler demand in the largest market for cruise bookings globally, representing 58% of the entire industry,” Booking.com said in a statement.
Over the past year, cruise lines and cruise selling travel advisors have reported record sales, with most beating records set in 2019, which was the best year ever for many travel companies.
