Insight Vacations is launching its Europe 2017 program, incorporating local artisans, chefs and experts to give travelers an authentic experience, with three new itineraries: Country Roads of Southern Scandinavia, Scenic France and Northern Spain, and Warsaw and the Baltic States.
The 13-day journey in Scandinavia starts in Oslo and ends in Copenhagen, and includes a trip to the market stalls of Bergen with a local expert, an island-hopping cruise through Norway’s dramatic West Coast fjords from Bergen to Stavanger, and two nights in the European Capital of Culture for 2017, Aarhus.
The Scenic France and Northern Spain itinerary includes wine tasting at Saint-Émilion with an expert vintner and learning about the double-distilling and aging process of Cognac. Accommodations for the 14-day trip are in the 16th-century Château de Monestier in Bordeaux. This tour is an Insight Inclusive, which includes all breakfasts, dinners and sightseeing costs.
Citing the continued popularity of Poland, Insight also is offering a Warsaw and the Baltic States journey. The nine-day trip takes travelers to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, where they can tour of Warsaw with a local expert and visit a Gothic castle at Trakai.
New Signature Experiences, a touring style that brings clients to more off-the-beaten-path locations, include an exclusive visit to the Guinness factory in Dublin before the doors open to the public, a cruise with the captain on a traditional sailing barge, and meeting one of the survivors of the Siege of Sarajevo in the War Tunnel Museum.
Another new addition in the 2017 program includes a private after-hours VIP dinner inside the Vatican Ethnological Museum, joined by the museum’s curator, for several Premium Italian itineraries.
Insight also offers early-payment discounts, solo-traveler discounts and air packages. The tour operator pays a minimum of 10% commission on all land vacations.
