Warwick Hotels and Resorts has spent the past several months rolling out its new corporate branding internationally—and now has a novel property among its portfolio: an all-inclusive, adults-only resort.
The Warwick Paradise Island–Bahamas opened in Nassau in early 2017 after a $50 million renovation. Occupying the 12-story high rise that was formerly the Paradise Island Harbor Resort, this newest Warwick offers sweeping views, a private Harbour Beach, sprawling pool and hot tub, the new Sea Terrace, and multiple eateries and bars.
Open to guests aged 18 and over, the resort houses 250 rooms, all of them featuring a tropically inspired design scheme, and its premium guestrooms have corner balconies. The all-inclusive rates include all meals, snacks, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages; free standard WiFi across the property; entertainment, sports and activities; and gratuities, VAT and local resort taxes.
Its location on the harbor side of Paradise Island is conveniently situated just east of the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge that links Nassau to the island, and is walking distance from the island’s ocean-side beaches. The new resort also is just blocks from the sprawling Atlantis mega resort and casino—though by contrast, the Warwick offers a pleasant smaller-scale, adults-only experience.
The new resort’s giant, swooping “free form” swimming pool holds 330,000 gallons of crystal-blue water, and is shaded by palm trees and surrounded by lounge chairs. Familiar amenities serve travelers well here too, like the fully equipped fitness center, tennis courts, pool table and outdoor games, an onsite gift shop and a tour desk for guests looking to explore more of Nassau and the greater Bahamian archipelago.

There are four restaurants on site, including the Verandah for daily breakfast and buffet dining; Asian- and fresh-grilled skewers at Tings on a Stick; an Italian menu at Abbiocco; and the romantic, open-air Edgewater Grill by the bay, serving fresh-caught fish and more.
Inside, the Rum Cay Bar serves cocktails both in the lobby lounge and in the Junkanoo Beat event space, which is programmed with dancing, karaoke, and other parties most evenings. Outside along the Warwick’s Harbour Beach, lighter fare is served at Chickcharnie’s Pizzeria & Grille (named for a local bird); while the Hog Bar serves cocktails (its name was inspired by the former name of the island, “Hog Island”).
A signature feature of the resort is its newly built, 10,000-square-foot Warwick Sea Terrace overlooking the harbor marina. The terrace has a dock for boats plus a scenic boardwalk, large deck for sunbathing and a breezy gazebo over the water that serves as a wedding and special-events space, and everyday shaded lounge area.

The Warwick also is home to the brand-new Amber Spa. Treatments include a variety of massage choices, as well as facials, manicures, pedicures, other body treatments, and signature services and treatment combinations that change monthly. Amber is the first spa in the Bahamas to offer Mila d’Opiz Swiss beauty products, which uses natural plant extracts and glacier water in its ingredients.
