After debuting the concept in Denver in 2022, United Airlines on Tuesday opened its second United Club Fly lounge, this time at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
The lounges are designed for United Club members and premium cabin travelers flying internationally, offering a quick stop to grab a snack, beverage, or coffee before heading to their flight.
United chose George Bush Intercontinental not only because of its high flight volume at the airport but also because more than half of the travelers there are connecting passengers, making the grab-and-go concept a natural fit.
The Houston location is on the south side of Terminal B and features a self-scan entry. Inside, guests can find orange juice, pastries, wraps, salads, and sandwiches, along with a full-service coffee bar and a self-serve beverage counter with a water bottle refill station. The club does not offer alcoholic beverages.
United views the concept as a way to add value to its United Club program and “support travelers throughout their entire journey,” said Alexander Dorow, head of United’s Club and Lounge Program.
